The story of the miraculous resurrection of Lazarus in John 11 is my assurance today that death we die is nothing other than sleep. It was not hard for Jesus to “wake Lazarus up”, and it will be no different for Jesus to “wake us all up” when He comes to take us home. It was never a question whether Jesus can raise people from the dead, but it was always the question: do we believe Jesus can do this? So where is my hope today? Is it built on Jesus Christ and His power, or is it built on the tradition of men or a secular worldview that contains absolutely no hope? I pray we all will choose Jesus!
